About Us

Western Cape Tours & Transport (WCTT) was founded by Keron Basson in 2018 and registered as a business in early 2019.

Keron has always had a passion for entrepreneurship and has had a desire to build WCTT after having a successful run in the festival industry, having hosted many music festivals.

With many successful opportunities, Keron started his first business at the age of 20 years old “Kebas Cleaning Services” specializing in Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning. He serviced the Private sector, the City of Cape Town and subcontracted for bigger contractors. Keron has expanded efficiently over the years and taken up many successful opportunities.

Keron has wanted to provide reliable transport to the Tours & Travel, Corporate, Film and Staff Shuttling industry for some time now because he understands the importance of having a trustworthy and reliable company to call upon in order to satisfy the transport needs for the above sectors.

WCTT endeavours to employ experienced drivers with valid Personal Driving Permits (PDPs) and no less than 3 to 5 years’ experience in the transport industry.

Our key objective is to ensure that our drivers are reliable, trustworthy and efficient so that the level of Customer Service we want to achieve is instilled in each driver we employ.

Western Cape Backpackers Tours and Transport (WCBTT) is a registered (Pty)Ltd and operates as the Umbrella company for Western Cape Tours & Transport and Western Cape Backpackers

Western Cape Tours & Transport is currently in operation and the goal is to get Western Cape Backpackers trading in the next 5 to 10 years.
WCBTT is BBBEE Level 1 compliant, 100% black youth owned.

The current business focus is to concentrate on the transport industry, looking at how WCBTT can satisfy the need for superior transport in the tours & travel, corporate, film and staffing transport sector of the Western Cape and beyond.

Once the above has been achieved, the growth and development of the Backpackers sector of the business will be expanded.

The Backpacking sector of the business will operate predominantly within the CBD area of Cape Town.

The desire is for the Backpackers to be an elegant experience, but still encompass fun; targeting a diverse group of tourists and local clients. The intention is for it to feel like a home-away-from-home so that each guest is comfortable and happy. Customer Service and friendly staff will be at the foreground of the business model to ensure the highest standards.
